Today’s Mt. Fuji Hoei Crater Hike was a mysterious and beautiful one.
Thick fog covered the trail, and visibility was very limited. We couldn’t see the summit of Mt. Fuji from the crater, so we decided to continue all the way up to the top of Mt. Hoei, hoping for a brief break in the clouds.

Although the mountain peak never fully appeared, there was a magical moment when the fog suddenly cleared for just a few seconds, revealing a patch of blue sky. It was short but deeply moving, one of those rare moments that remind you how powerful and unpredictable nature can be.
The rest of the hike was surrounded by mist and silence. It felt like walking on another planet, maybe Mars or the moon, an otherworldly atmosphere that made the day truly unforgettable.
