We are a small team of passionate local guides based in Fujinomiya, a town nestled at the southern base of Mt. Fuji. Our goal is to help people discover both the iconic landscapes and the hidden, soul-stirring places only locals know.
Our Story
chill outdoor was founded in 2022 by Tetsuya Ide, a Fujinomiya native who spent over a decade guiding and managing tours in the Mt. Fuji area.
chill outdoor was born from a desire to reconnect people with nature in a real, respectful way.
We want to offer experiences that connect people with nature in a gentle, meaningful way — with humility, care, and deep local knowledge.
What We Do
Our small-group eco-tours include hiking quiet forest trails, discovering hidden waterfalls, e-bike adventures through the countryside, and cultural encounters that reflect the spirit of the region.
Beyond guiding, we also engage in woodworking using sustainable local timber and participate in Japan’s only sakura shrimp fishery — all part of a lifestyle rooted in harmony with nature.

We don’t just guide tours — we share the everyday wonder of living close to Mt. Fuji.
