Mt Fuji shower climbing and canyoning tour through clear mountain streams

Two American girls joined us today for one last adventure before flying home tomorrow.

After spending two weeks exploring Japan’s famous tourist destinations, they finished their trip with a day in the beautiful nature around Mt. Fuji.

The canyon was in excellent condition again today. Thanks to the recent rain, the water level was just right, making for another fantastic day of shower climbing and canyoning.

After days of sightseeing and busy tourist spots, I hope they were able to recharge by spending time in nature.

Since their Shinkansen wasn’t until 7:00 p.m., we had some extra time after the tour, so we made a small detour.

Today was Tanabata (the Star Festival), and a local shrine in Fuji City had just begun its summer festival. Hundreds of colorful wind chimes had been displayed starting today, creating a perfect summer atmosphere.

Summer in Japan has officially begun. 🎐
