Today we welcomed guests from Japan and a father and son from the UK 🇬🇧 for a canyoning adventure in the Mt. Fuji foothills.
The British family booked the tour just one day before, looking for a way to escape Japan’s summer heat.
They were planning to stay in Kawaguchiko before heading to Osaka the next day.
Before the tour, I explained that unless they had somewhere specific they wanted to visit around Kawaguchiko, staying there would mean a long and inefficient journey by public transportation. Staying near Shin-Fuji Station would make their onward trip much easier.
They decided to change their hotel before the tour.
At the end of the day, they told me they were really glad they did. Spending another two hours traveling back to Kawaguchiko just to catch the Shinkansen the next morning would have been exhausting.
